Duty: Since 1 July 2026 the EU no longer waives duty on goods up to €150. Goods sold online up to €150 pay a flat €3 per item category, plus VAT.

Croatia, an EU member (joined 2013), uses EU customs rules (VAT 25%). As of 2023, Croatia adopted the Euro currency, simplifying customs payments. The €150 duty-free threshold and €45 gift exemption apply as usual. Croatia's VAT is relatively high at 25%, so recipients will pay that on taxable imports.
Many parcels to Croatia route through Zagreb. Tip: Use English lettering (Latin characters) wherever possible. Delivery within major cities typically takes ~5-7 days after customs; we ship mainland Croatia only (no islands), and rural villages can add a couple of days.
Prohibited items: No special country-specific list beyond EU norms. If sending any food or beverages, note that Croatia has excise taxes on alcohol and tobacco. We do not ship alcohol or tobacco products.

Delivery pattern
- Home delivery with signature; a household member may receive the parcel.
- If nobody is home, GLS first tries a neighbour for signature; otherwise they leave a notification card and return the parcel to the depot.
- FlexDelivery (when available) lets recipients choose options online: delivery day, alternate address, safe-place (no POD), refuse/RTS, or depot pickup.
- Depot pickup window: typically four working days; uncollected parcels may be returned to sender.
- Mainland delivery only; island deliveries are not available.
