Providing the recipient's email is useful because they may get a customs fee notice electronically—final‑mile couriers often collect duties and VAT via secure online payment links.

Delivery attempts: two standard attempts; GLS may make a third/final attempt per their FAQ timing.
If delivery fails, GLS can leave a notification card with parcel number, reason, deposit location, and contact info.
