Czech customs are generally efficient; however, if an invoice is missing or value unclear, they may ask the recipient for clarification. Always declare properly to avoid that. Addresses in Czechia often include a house number and orientation number (e.g. "Dlouhá 14/8"); be sure to include all parts of the address as given by the recipient. Delivery typically 5–7 days. Providing the recipient's email is useful because they may get a customs fee notice electronically—final‑mile couriers often collect duties and VAT via secure online payment links.

Home delivery with signature; a household member may receive the parcel.
If nobody is home, GLS contacts the recipient to arrange a same-day alternative (ParcelShop, ParcelBox, or neighbour) and sends confirmation with location/neighbour details.
Delivery attempts: two standard attempts; GLS may make a third/final attempt per their FAQ timing.
If delivery fails, GLS can leave a notification card with parcel number, reason, deposit location, and contact info.

How local delivery tracking works (rarely needed)
