Gift Threshold: Up to €45 (private-to-private gifts)

Duty: Since 1 July 2026 the EU no longer waives duty on goods up to €150. Goods sold online up to €150 pay a flat €3 per item category, plus VAT.

Estonia (EU, VAT 24%) is a smaller market but with modern customs systems.

Prohibited items are standard (no weapons, drugs, etc.). As a Baltic country, Estonia also has cultural artifact protections (e.g. things related to national heritage can't be imported/exported freely). One notable point: Estonia restricts firearms parts and replica weapons strongly – even antique or toy guns can cause issues, so avoid sending anything resembling a weapon.

Customs/duties: Follows EU rules; gift allowance €45, duty-free = €150 for now.

Delivery: Estonia is tech-savvy, the recipient might use self-service kiosks ("parcel lockers") a lot. If the parcel is headed to a parcel locker, we will need the correct phone number and possibly email to notify the recipient. Ensure the address includes the correct postal code (5 digits) and if it's a rural address, the parish/municipality.

What is unique in Estonia

Locker pickup is code-based: choose "Receive a parcel" and enter your PIN/pickup code to open the locker.
SmartPosti lockers are indoors; access follows the hosting location's opening hours.
Storage time is strict: parcels at lockers/points are kept for 7 calendar days with no extensions; then returned to sender.
Home delivery fallback: if unsuccessful, the parcel returns to the sorting center and is stored for 10–14 days; you can request redelivery via customer service.
Mainland delivery only; island deliveries are not available.
