Portugal (EU, VAT 23%) mainland only; we do not ship to the Azores or Madeira.

Prohibited items: Standard EU banned items. Portugal specifically may restrict import of wines or spirits without an import license (Portugal is a wine producer, and alcohol imports are controlled), so don't send alcohol as a gift here. Also avoid sending cork or plant products that could carry pests, as Portugal's agriculture sector (e.g. cork trees) is important.

Duties: EU rules apply.

Delivery: Addresses in Portugal often include a postal code of 4 digits + 3 digits (e.g. 1000-123). Include any locality if outside big cities. We ship mainland Portugal only; islands (including the Azores and Madeira) are not served.

Delivery & Pickup in Portugal (GLS)

GLS Portugal supports neighbor delivery, ParcelShop fallback, and second attempts when no shop is nearby.

Home delivery window

GLS delivers Monday to Friday during business hours (route dependent).

ParcelShop fallback + ID required

If the parcel cannot be delivered to the recipient or a neighbour, the driver can take it to the nearest Parcel Shop and leave a notification card.
ParcelShop pickup window: up to 10 working days to collect from the Parcel Shop.
To collect: valid ID/passport is typically required (and the notice/ticket if provided).

How local delivery tracking works (rarely needed)

Once your parcel reaches Portugal and is handed to GLS Portugal (the local final-mile carrier), a local courier tracking ID may be generated. This local ID is automatically linked to your Polimark tracking behind the scenes.

Most customers never need to use this local tracking ID.
Polimark remains your primary point of contact for tracking updates and delivery questions.

When would I need the local tracking ID?

Only in uncommon situations, for example:

A recipient wants to manually change a delivery date
A pickup point selection needs to be adjusted directly with the local carrier

If that ever happens, just contact us and we'll provide the local tracking ID for you.
