Ship parcels to Ukraine

Duty and tax thresholds: For parcels to private individuals, the commonly applied de minimis is €150: up to and including €150 (declared invoice value) no customs duty and no import VAT are charged. Above €150, the recipient will pay roughly 10% duty on the excess and 20% VAT on the total. Ukraine has signaled this exemption may change in the future; as of now, the €150 de minimis remains in effect.

Prohibited items: Ukraine prohibits many of the same items as the EU (weapons, drugs, etc.), and given the ongoing war, there are additional restrictions: military-grade equipment, drones, or dual-use electronics will likely be stopped unless you have special permission. Do not attempt to send anything that could be considered militarily sensitive. Also, Ukraine bans sending currency, precious metals, jewelry, and obviously any propaganda supporting aggression.

Food and medicine: Ukraine restricts perishable foods and has controls on medicines (especially those containing narcotics or psychotropics). Food in a parcel is capped at 10 kg per shipment and this limit is enforced. Check with us if sending over-the-counter medicine; it may or may not be allowed.

Delivery: Despite the conflict, postal and courier services in Ukraine continue to operate in most regions with remarkable resilience. We partner with services like Nova Poshta for final delivery, depending on the city. Delivery times can be longer and less predictable due to security delays – expect possibly 1–2 weeks. Major cities in western/central Ukraine (e.g. Lviv, Kyiv) are easier to reach; areas near active conflict might be suspended or rerouted. We will inform you if a region is currently not serviceable. Customs clearance in Ukraine might require the recipient's tax ID for high-value shipments, and the recipient might be contacted to provide documentation if needed. Communication and patience are key when shipping to Ukraine under present circumstances. We ensure to follow all export control regulations on our side as well (for example, we cannot ship any items on Canada's export control list to certain destinations).
